I got multiple e-mails from new trail runners about the course.
The course will be mark with 6” x 6” arrow signs which will be chained to the trees with pad locks. This is so the course can be setup a few days before the race.
Also the course will have orange survey ribbon hanging from the trees about 36-48” long approximately every 100-200 yards.Read Full Post »

I ranked this run between 6 and 7 due to the running surfaces. This ranking is based on a scale with 1 as a hilly rail trail to a 10 as multiple 1,000 vertical foot climbs or climbing over 3,000 vertical feet in less than 10 miles.
I never ran a 10 yet, but the couple of the hardest races so far in my career were the Escarpment (Catkills, NY), ConestogaTrail Run (Lancaster, PA), Hyner View Challenge (Lock Haven, PA)....Read Full Post »

The Rocky Ridge County Park closes the trails due to trail conditions during, after, and/or series of days of Rain. So to guarantee that the race will happen a rain date was put inplace.
Check Web Page if the Race is postponed to the rain date. Web page will have the race status posted no later than 8:00pm Friday night before the race.

It is a road runner that went crazy from pounding the pavement from a boring road race that seemed to never end. The runner was forced out of boredom to run in the woods realizing the dirt, trees, rocks, deep water crossings, long climbs that never ended, and with crazy fast down hills was what true enjoyment of running was all about.
